Field Trip!

Hello everyone! The school went out on a field trip last week and i thought I’d write something about and update with some pictures.

We all met up in front of the University at 8:00 in the morning, boarded the booked busses and headed of for 彦根城 / Hikone Castle and 琵琶湖 / Lake Biwa

We started of by visiting Hikonejou, were I actually ended up playing with schoolchildren and idling instead of actually looking at the “attractions” I had received entry tickets for, but ah well, at least i had fun! I would however like to go there again after seeing pictures my friends took from the places i missed. So when/if someone comes visit me and feels like going, count me in!

I also got the chance to see the mascot in person, Hikonyan! I´m guessing you can see who it is in the pictures above. Sadly we just arrived as he was about to go take a nap or something so i did not get the opportunity to take a picture with him/her...

After playing around with the kids inside the castle, we ate some lunch and then headed of for the boat and to “The island of which name i forgot” there we got to enjoy the incredibly nice weather even more and just walk around looking at the shrines and the nature of the island.

It was nice to ride a boat, felt like ages ago since i last rode one, it made me remember how soothing it is! I don’t have much more to say about the trip except it was funny as always to get out from the school building and do something else besides studying with your classmates. It gives you a big breath of fresh air and makes you a little less tired of studying! I’m already looking forward to the next one.

On other notes I’ve been and said hello to the Shamisen club and even tough it’s not the same Shamisen as i want to play (Tsugaru, the one i have) i will continue to go there, i will still learn the basics and have people to turn to with questions, besides they seemed like a nice bunch, they were 2 girls and a senior to them acting as a teacher. Like a cozy little nerd club.

And about me teaching English, I’ve been a lazy boy... I still haven´t put up a note at the community house but i will force my self down there within this week before Friday, for sure!

I’ve updated the gallery with some pictures as always, and with that i say au revoir for now!
