Hey ya'll!

Dalahäst!

A very fine Swedish warhorse.

located at the station in front of IKEA in Kobe.

Yesterday i got a package from my mom with flipflops, Swedish candy, and some snus! The flipflops fit perfectly, my feet thanks you very much!

Sweden also played some soccer game yesterday night (Japanese time) so i went there with a bunch of Swedes to cheer them on, i could not care less for soccer, but hey, something to do right? and i got the opportunity to test my new Swedish merchandise on some new people. I met one that is by far the toughest of all the Japanese I've met so far concerning candy eating. She took all of the stuff in the mouth at the same time! Even a snus! I was mighty impressed! She did not look that happy

though... :D

Anyway Sweden lost and we all went home

to get some nice sleep at 4 in the morning.

The next day (or later that day, depends on

how you see things) Me and Dan had

decided to go to Kobe and visit IKEA!

We actually had to stand in line to get in to

IKEA witch felt kind of stupid, but there is

a first for everything!

When we finally got inside we went straight

to the restaurant and ate some nice mixture

of Swedish stuff! A big plate of meatballs

(but only 2 potatoes...) some Daim-cake,

lussebulle and some real bread. It wasn’t that

great but it tasted somewhat Swedish anyway!

After that did a quick walk-around in the store laughing at some funny long seen Swedish words, and just felt at home for a little while. After the quick tour we went to the “food market” and bought some Swedish groceries to bring back to Kyoto. I bought a jar of “inlagd sill” “Wasa miniknäck” and some good old “Arla hushållsost” I will save it all for the Swedish holiday “Midsommar” next Friday!

Ah crap, now i need to study Kanji for the test tomorrow, don’t have time to be sitting here and writing the word “Swedish” anymore.

So, yeah, Thanks for the package mom! I’ll see you all next post.
