By Tegan and Sara.
Today the visiting Vikings went to Nara to continue their journey in the land of the rising sun. Me, I continued my journey like I always do on Mondays, I went to school again.
The first thing i did was to nail the Kanji test, it felt really good and I believe a score of 100% is not impossible, after that we were handed out our test results from last weeks grammar, and vocabulary test. I failed the words big time again... Oh well! One thing at a time! I’ll start nailing those vocabulary test soon enough.
After that our teacher announced the “Lucky” winner from our speech performances we have been doing in class these past weeks, whom will represent our class in a big speech contest in two weeks. Since this blog is about me, it’s only natural that the “Lucky” one is yours truly . Apparently my two teachers and my classmates found my speech to be the best and decided to send me to endure the humiliation of a speech contest... It will be an experience like everything else here i guess and I’ll do my best and try not make that much of a fool out of my self! Wish me luck.
My speech is named “人によって” (Hito ni yotte) which can be translated as “Depending on the person”. It’s about the fact that everyone is different and that we need to start being better at accepting each other for who we are.
If some one is interested in reading it, just let me know and I’ll write it here.
On other notes I had my third Donburi in the past three school days, and tomorrow i will move in the the “Special” Section of the University’s lunch menu. Now you might wonder that the **** I’m talking about but don’t worry.
What I’m trying to tell you is that a few weeks ago i decided to try everything on the menu at least once, so said and done I have been working my self from the furthest right down to the left all these past lunches and dinners. I’s been a good adventure!
That’ll be all for today. See ya!
